The Erwin brothers, who captivated audiences with “The Jesus Revolution” and “I Can Only Imagine,” now bring us “Unsung Hero,” a film that dives deep into the fabric of faith and a family whose story is anything but ordinary.

“Unsung Hero” centers around the Smallbones, a family that emigrated from the U.K. to Australia and then to the U.S., facing numerous challenges along the way. They endure financial hardships and the daunting task of rebuilding their lives in a new country while keeping their faith and familial bonds intact. Joel and Luke Smallbone go on to form the band “For King and Country.”

“You don’t ever think you’re living a movie when you’re living it. This is just my childhood. We weren’t trying to do anything special. We were just a family that had a great love for each other, a great love for Jesus, prayed for things, saw things take place,” recalled Luke Smallbone.

“Unsung Hero” highlights how a family’s unwavering faith and love can lead to remarkable outcomes. The film, infused with themes of resilience and divine intervention, invites viewers to find the extraordinary in their ordinary, emphasizing that heroism can manifest in everyday acts of love and faith.
